The best thing you can do is to promote a homework system at home with their school work and other work, with set times, and involvement of you as a parent. By spending time with your child during the evenings and helping them with their math homework youll be showing them the importance of learning, and being dedicated to the learning process. Youll actively be playing a part in their educational life, and at the same time youll be able to try and implement more enjoyable aspects to the homework. You need to keep your childs interest, after all!
Math is one of the highest scoring subjects and by gaining a good score in math; students can have an overall commendable grade in exams. The only one thing needed to achieve good grades, is constant practice. Research suggests that math is different from other subjects and it improves students reasoning skills. Parents are always conscious about their children and they do their level best in improving their scores in exams. Parents are also known as the first tutors so in that respect, they play a vital role in their childrens lives. They can boost their childrens confidence and support them to achieve their learning goals.
No matter what materials you choose, it is most important that you supervise your child constantly so that mistakes get caught rather than practiced. I learned this particular lesson the hard way. When my daughter was young, she did something that needed \"attention.\" I no longer remember what it was that she did, but I told her to write the sentence \"I will not disobey my parents again\" 50 times. I should have known better, but I didnt check on her at the beginning and then I got busy. So, sometime later, she brought me 50 sentences of \"I will not disobey my parents agen.\" She had just practiced misspelling \"again\" as \"agen\" -- 50 times! Im not certain that we ever really got that fixed.
